STCP public buses run to the city and beyond from the airport and one ticket covers the use of STCP buses and trams, Porto Metro, the funicular railway and suburban trains throughout the day. Bus numbers 601 and 87 run to various locations in the city, while number 120 goes between Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport and Santa Cruz, Leça, Matosinhos, Guifões and Custóias; buses run every 20 to 30 minutes.


Rail / Metro


A fast metro subway service connects downtown Porto with Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport and operates between the hours of 06:00 to 01:30. This is a fast way and direct way to reach the city centre and the journey time is generally just less than 30 minutes. The metro station is easy to find and located next to the airport terminal itself.
